IFC Fall 2024 Grade Report

The chapter GPA took a significant jump in the fall of 2024. In Spring 2024, Phi Psi was ranked 7th among all fraternities and was below the All IFC and All Men’s Average GPAs. The chapter jumped from a 3.19 to a 3.41, ranking the chapter 3rd out of all Interfraternity Council groups and ranks us above the All Men’s and All IFC averages for the semester. We look forward to the spring semester performance!

2025 NCAC Champions

Tournament Victories

For the first time in DePauw athletic history, the men’s soccer and football teams were NCAC champions in the same year. Brothers Ethan Webster ’22, Matthew Fogo ’24, Joey Vehovsky ’24, and Braden Murphey ’24 played essential roles in securing a title for the soccer Tigers. Webster’s game winning goal during the NCAC tournament ensured the team’s NCAA DIII national tournament berth.

Ryland Irvin ’22 and Robert Pasinato ’24 helped the football team to their third straight NCAC championship. Irvin started on the nationally ranked DePauw defense at safety. Undefeated in the regular season, the team averaged more than 40 points a game and gave up less than 11 points for one of the largest point margins in the country. Because of their regular season success, the Tigers received a first round bye in the NCAA DIII national tournament.

Monon Weekend

Hank Ruff Indiana ’19 Concert

Over Monon Weekend, the Brothers of Phi Kappa Psi were lucky enough to welcome Hank Ruff Indiana ’19 and his band to play the night before the big game. Before the concert, Ruff participated in a meet-and-greet with first-year students and the members of the house. Around 45 first-year students were present to meet Ruff personally, and many more came once the concert began. Students from all houses, organizations, and clubs were invited to the event, creating a unique environment. During a meeting the following week, Phi Psi was complemented by VP John Mark Day for their ability to have a safe, campus-wide event.

President of Student Government

Elijah Federman ’25

Brother Elijah Federman ’22 was named DePauw’s student government president early this semester. Following in the footsteps of Brother JD O’Keane ’20, Federman becomes another Phi Psi to earn the honor of leading the student body. Under his administration, Federman has acted as the chief representative for DePauw students while communicating with the administration, advocating for policy changes, and giving speeches during university events. At the end of this school year, Federman will graduate with a degree in Economics.
